All my siblings have children… Why don't I?

In July, The last of my other five siblings gave birth to a baby boy. That left me as being the only one of my siblings without child....😕 
At first it didn't really bother me-however now it really does. I am the oldest girl, which means all of my three younger sisters have children and I don't. I have two older brothers and they both have children and families.

I have been the only one who left home to pursue a college degree and I have been very career minded. I am afraid that if I stay on this track I will never have a baby. I will admit that there are some perks to not having children, and when I am around my siblings with 1 million screaming children I find peace in the fact that I can get 6 to 8 hours of sleep unbothered.

However, I have had an increased want for children lately. I have been in a long-term relationship and I feel that we are both ready. I mean, is anybody ever really ready?

Did you feel pressure when other people around you got pregnant and you weren't?

I felt the exact same way. My sister-in-law was the first to get pregnant, then a few years later my younger sister, then 2 months later my baby sister.

I'm the only one without a kid. And like you, since I'm the oldest I wanted to be the first. I was the first one to get married, so I felt like I should/would be the first one to get pregnant. Ugh....

I'm the same way sweetie! I have 3 step sisters and 1 sister and the last one just had her baby last week! Didn't bother me til now, but I think it's because I'm finally ready myself. I actually wanted to make sure I personally had a good job, married and had my house! We bought our house a year ago next week and been married for almost 4 years and I feel like I am as ready as I can be so this is our first month trying!

I am in a similar situation with DH's family.  We are the only ones without kids, which is getting to me. I think he is starting to worry too, that everyone in his family has kids and I haven't gotten pregnant get.  We love the fact that we can do pretty much what we want when we want but have officially crossed into the "when is this going to happen?!" Territory.

I feel the same. I am 31 and have wanted a baby for quite a few years now. My sister has 2 kids, shes 22. And my brother has gotten 3 girls pregnant, hes 21. If my mother never had abortions it would have been 8 of us. I just feel like its not fair. Haven't had any testing done yet, because i just recently got insurance (which doesnt cover anything fertility related, just bc). Have never been on bc. I just don't know what the problem is

Hey I'm right with you in that. I am one of 8 and the only one without (they all have 2 or more even). I always felt like "why not me?!". It's a rough feeling to have but I whole heartedly feel that if it were meant to be it would be.

Honestly idk if anyone is ever really ready. My dh and i were trying for almost a yr (nit tracking or anything just not using procautions) we both want chuldren so bad and talked about it all the time. But now that i am preg. I still am happy and want the baby please dont get me wrong. But spmetimes i get scared that im not ready or that ill be a shitty mom. And ect.
