Zika Virus and pregnancy!
To all expecting mommas-to-be out there ...
Had anyone travelled in the last 6-8 months in a Zika infected area and is now expecting and nervous about the affect it may have on your baby?
We travelled to Mexico in January, we saw mosquitoes and did get some bites. We didn't have much for symptoms besides that I puked one day when we got home (could have been flu and vomiting isn't really a symptom of Zika anyway) .. we were both blood tested for Zika and it came back negative on both of us ... my doctor advised us to wait 6 months to TTC anyway 😔
We waited 2 months and then decided to "kind of try" thinking it would take at least 2-3 months to conceive and BOOM I got pregnant first try! So I am now 5 weeks but haven't seen my Gyno yet... not sure of the affects that my baby may or may not have and I'm pretty stressed about it! Anyone out there have similar experiences? I'd LOVE to hear about them!
