Does taking Mucinex affect CM?

I have a cold so I'm taking Mucinex-D. Based on my CM, I think I'm at my most fertile. My husband thinks my cm is that way due to my medication and it has passed. Does anyone have any experience with this? I'm also reacting my bbt but due to my cold and travel this month I don't think it's super accurate so I can't go by that.
