Strange late pregnancy question

I'm 37+3 on Tuesday my doctor said I was 50% effaced and 1.5 centimeters dilated. I woke up last night with diarrhea and that has continued throughout the day. This afternoon my lady bits feel so sore. Has anyone else had this happen? Or not know what causes it?
