Stressed out. (Venting)

I love how I should be stressed but I had to call today to put in for my leave because were suppose to give a months notice and I was really hoping my mind would be put easy and I'd qualify for some type of pay while I'm out so I can enjoy my bundle of joy but nope they told me I'm allowed 12 weeks leave unpaid. How do people do this I mean this wasn't planned and I've tried to get things paid off as best as I could but it not that simple I have school an I drive 300miles a week for classes so it wasn't easy to save because I need to eat and get gas. There has to be something I can do. And one other thing that annoyed me was he kept calling it a disability leave. Thank you to anyone who read my venting and any advice anyone may have.
