confused

So the guy I've had a thing with for over 3 months avoided the question when I asked him if we are serious meaning I wanted to know if we should label eachother, but he still snaps me here & there. I'm confused & don't know what to do. / what it could mean. I have really strong feelings for him & am really upset over it. Should I move on or try to see what is happening?
