Spotting in the first trimester

I am 6 weeks pregnant and today I noticed some light pink spotting after using the bathroom. This is my 2nd child and this didn't happen with my last so I am nervous. I have also had some light cramping with it. Has anyone else been experiencing this? Am I overreacting or is this rather normal?
