Experience with pain relief during labor

Jesse • 23. Married. We have had one miscarriage in June 14. In Dec 14 we had an ectopic leading to having the tube on my right side removed. Expecting our rainbow!
Has anyone had experience with different types of pain relief during labor? One option at my hospital is "laughing gas"... has anyone ever tried this before? If so what are your thoughts?
