Delivery questions???

Question

Does anyone go later than 36 weeks?? Or is it a rule that they go around 36 weeks? Also, how many of you ladies were able to have a vaginal birth vs C-section?? I'm still super early, but just trying to mentally prepare for possibilities.

I only made it to 31 weeks... I delivered vaginally. It all depends- every pregnancy is unique as is the delivery.. From what I was told twins usually come between 34-36 weeks but if babies and mumma are fine then it's possible to go to term.

I'm 37 weeks and my c section is tomorrow (both are breech).  We'd planned to go to 38 but they discovered at 36 wk growth scan that baby b is growth restricted and hadn't grown since the 32 week scan, so they moved it up a week. Otherwise if you and babies are healthy, 38 weeks is considered full term. I have heard of twin moms pushing it to 39 in hopes of going into labor naturally but I believe the risks to the babies go up as well.  They just run out of room and the placentas can stop providing nutrients.  The stats I've heard is 50% are vaginal vs c section and 50% come before 36 weeks.  Though I have had no signs of labor at all up to this point!  Good luck!

My ob told me 38 weeks was the latest!! But if I go around 36 she won't try to stop it... & vaginal or c-section depends on the position the babies are in!!

My sister in law went to 39 weeks with her twins :) everyone is different
