Has anyone of you wonderful ladies been TTC for more than 4 yrs and eventually had a baby? if so what did u do to get pregnant?

Started seeing Fertility/Endocrinologist Jan 2007. Two miscarriages and ectopic later, had my daughter in June 2012. My infertility is caused by hormonal imbalance (hypothyroid and insulin resistance). Treatment was levothyroxin, Clomid and AI.

I tried to get pregnant for four years and then I started the process for adoption and stopped trying then voila pregnant!  People used to tell me stop trying and I would get mad but it worked and have three babies now.

We tried for 2.5 years. We did IUIs, 2 IVF cycles and all failed.  I have Endometriosis, PCO, Hashimotos, a LPD, one tube and ovary, previous blockage of only tube, low progesterone, high natural killer cells, lack of fertile cm, and no receptors at expected time of implantation.  My husband also had a perm issues.  We got pregnant 3ish weeks after being told IVF had a 1-5% chance of ever working and less of a chance for natural conception.  About 4 months before we conceived I started Synthroid and Metformin.  I also lost 10 lbs and started eating better.  We conceived naturally after deciding to think about what our next step was going to be. My husband also took 1 month of Cipro 500mg twice a day to help his sperm issue.

6 years, I changed the way I ate, lost 20 lbs. and exercised 3 times a week. And bam pregnant and then bam pregnant again a year later. I have PCOS. When I went for my annual before my first pregnancy I had been eating better and exercising for 4 months. All the tests came back with no abnormal hormone levels. I wasn't actually planning on getting pregnant at the time, I was planning on running for charity :) but there were other plans. My nurse practitioner asked if I wanted BC and told her no since I never got pregnant before lol

I haven't been trying that long, but a good friend of mine did and ivf was what finally worked for them.
