I'm curious what everyone's opinion is on which way to put your newborn to sleep. Back or propped on their sides?

On their backs with nothing else in the crib.

Babies may prefer stomach sleeping but since it's 99.9% of the cause for SIDS, it's very important not to do it. They'll get used to back sleeping if you let them, and a swaddle may help. Side sleeping easily rolls to stomach so is not recommended.

On back. Ours hates the swaddle so we'd tuck the blanket around him while he laid on it so whenever he kicked and moved it would fall to the side and he couldn't cover his face
