Devils advocate for a sec...guys can have it rough, too. People in general can just be shitty to one another, girls and guys both.

That said...something I've learned over my 29 years on the planet is that when it comes to love and relationships, the one who cares the least is the one who has the majority of the power. And it's usually the girl who falls hard and fast, so very often, especially in the early game, girls can end up getting hurt because they put their hearts out there too fast. While I don't think this is the way it should be, the way it is is that you have to protect your heart first.
