I was in love with a man for 12 years and never told him. He moved away and disappeared. I never got the chance to tell him how I felt. Have any of you gone through the same thing?

Yesss 😭😭😭 from 7th-12th grade I had the biggest crush on my best friend. It was so obvious even tho I never said anything. A couple years ago he called me and told me he loved me and that I've always been around for him and supported him. And we were "dating" for 2 years since then but long distance got the best of me. I started wanting more. And under the circumstances we both couldn't fly out to see each other and he could only call me for 15 mins like every two weeks (he put himself in rehab center) so things got hard for me. I'm with someone else and I'm happy but there's still times I still think about him. Bc I didn't leave bc I didn't love him anymore I left bc it was getting hard and it was harder to see the pretty future I wanted ☹️
