bacterial test results 16 weeks

A few weeks ago I went to my OB because I thought I had some sort of infection due to increased discharge. He did a swab and I'm just now getting around to seeing the results. His office never called me or anything so I'm assuming that it's not serious but I am calling them as soon as they open today. I am somewhat freaking out because this seems to show bacterial vaginosis which can cause a lot of problems in pregnancy.  Has anyone ever had anything similar and been OK???
