Braxton hicks in chest?? anyone else?

Does anyone else feel Braxton hicks only in their chest? I struggle to breathe and can  feel my pulse in my throat just like a heavy chest. But nothing on my stomach! Asking out of curiosity mainly

I feel that sometimes before I get a Braxton hicks contraction, like it starts in my chest and then my stomach tightens up really hard.

I do get shortness of breath with my BH (similar to laying on my back too long) but my uterus hardens as well so I'm not sure what it means if it's only in your chest.

I can feel them start near my chest and everything tightens up. Nothing hurts, at all. Just starts to feel different and that's my clue a bh is coming on. All normal! 6th baby and it's happened with everyone for me.

You wouldn't be feeling BH in your chest. It's your uterus preparing for labor. However that doesn't mean they may not take your breath away. If you are having really bad chest pains though and breathing issues maybe call your doctor and just express your concern.

What you're feeling aren't Braxton hicks then . Braxton hicks are practice contractions.  You'd feel them in your uterus , back , hips , lady bits . If your chest is getting tight and you're having issues breathing it's something else entirely!

Are you ladies midwives or doctors? My midwife never disagreed that they weren't Braxton hicks. Could she have been wrong
