When did you have to buy maternity pants?

When did you get your first pair of maternity pants? Did you try anything else (belly band, hair tie trick, etc)? 1st pregnancy

I did the hair tie trick and lots of sweatpants for awhile--sometimes i wouldnt even close my pants, i would just put a long hoodie on top so you couldnt tell lol. but I caved and bought some maternity pants at 19 weeks and never looked back! So comfy!! :)

Check out dress pant yoga pants by betabrand. I'm not sure they would solve everyone's problem as I'm still early but they don't have a button or zipper like typical dress pants. It helps out my belly for now! They are expensive though ($75+)!!!

I bought a long tank to wear underneath my sweaters and used a rubber band on my jeans until I couldn't take it anymore at 20 weeks. It got to the point that I could feel the baby kick against my waistband when I sat down, it was too tight for her. Maternity jeans were a huge relief at that point!
