switching birth control brands

Does switching brands of birth control affect your period? Even if it's the same dosage? I started my new pack of gianvi on march 30th and I am on the 3rd day of the placebo and still no period. I used to take drosopheine ethynil and would get it on the third placebo day. Any advice is helpful. I am nervous cause I did have sex with condoms a few times this month and have taken the pill right on time. Any advice please cause I freak out about this stuff!
