Do you have dark armpits?

I have dark armpits and I'm pretty embarrassed of them. They didn't get dark until I was about.. 16. I seriously hate it so much because it stops me from wearing short sleeves or tank tops in public. Can anyone who has had this and had it go away or lighten it up, please tell me how?! I'm 19 now and it's killing me.

I used to... then I switched to natural deodorant - try that. If you already are then there are some "masks" made from home made stuff you can google that are supposed to help. Think one had white clay in or something
