It depends on the person. Are they of sane mind? Do they have full control of themselves and body? Do they experience blackouts or gaps in memory? Do they still have proper reaction time?

I know some seniors that are great with driving and I know some that could not safely operate a vehicle.

I think elders should have to be retested at 65 and every 2 years after that.

Depends. Some are fine, but some really need to give up their license... I think they should be tested more often after a certain age.

Although I do think people should be retested at around 75

I think after a certain age they should have to retake their test every few years. There are some older people who shouldn't be driving, and some who are perfectly fine. Only way to tell for sure is to make them take their test again.

Obviously this goes for younger people as well, and I feel that not only the 6-hour course, but defensive driving courses should be required before someone can get their license. I feel like a lot of kids and people my age (going on 25) only studied for the test and then as soon as they got their license, didn't care about road laws anymore.

Yes. My boyfriends grandpa is around 75 years old and better than most drivers I know.
