I plan on breast feeding!! How bad is it? The first time how is it

If breastfeeding hurts there's an underlying issue and you need to seek help from an ibclc. It's normal for it to be uncomfortable up to 30 seconds after your baby latches. Beyond that there's something going on.

If you're able, seek out your local La Leche League and go to a meeting. Going while pregnant is incredibly helpful.

It might feel tender or different, but it shouldn't outright hurt for an extended period or something's usually wrong. For me it just felt sensitive the first few days but I used a nipple cream and it passed pretty quickly.

With my first it didn't hurt at all, i never had any problems. I'm not nieve enough to think it's always that easy though.

It can be very uncomfortable for the first few weeks while your nipples are getting used to it. But after that it is smooth sailing as long as the latch is correct.
