Annoyed with fiancé.

Does anybody else get annoyed with their SO when they tell you that something you want is unnecessary and that you don't need it?! This is my first pregnancy and I've been wanting one of the heartbeat dopplers because I get really paranoid hearing the heartbeat once a month and he told me that he wasn't going to pay for it for me that he'd rather buy all this other stuff for a house we can't even move into yet!
