Test results - help?!

Question

Can anyone make sense of these results? They were posted to my chart, but I don't get to see my doctor about them until later next week. I just want to know what "bun blood" and "albumin" are since those 2 are lower than the ranges given. Not sure what that means, but I'm curious. Thanks! 😊

Hey there, lab tech here.  Low BUN is no big deal, it just means that your kidneys are working well and are t allowing waste products to build up in your blood.  Your albumin is barely low at all, just slightly outside of normal limits.  It's a type of protein that contributes to your total protein (which is fine).  All your other labs look great too!  Don't worry yourself over it at all.

BUN is your kidneys and measures nitrogen in your blood that come from waste or UREA. Albumin is a protein made by the liver. As to why they're low, I'd call you doctor. If she hasn't called you yet about it and posted it online, she is more than likely not concerned.
