Daith piercing infection?

I just recently (about a month ago) got my daith pierced. I was wondering if the red bump is an infection? I'm not to sure about piercings and how to care for an infection. Thank you!!

For future people to not, this is the wrong kind of jewelry. They should have inserted a hoop or shoe. A curve bar is not appropriate for this piercing

if you're worried about infection see a doctor or your piercer, just keep cleaning like normal. it could be a pressure or irritation bump. clean with a sterile saline solution

Hydrogen peroxide. Apply day and night. If you don't manage to get that, use dettol, day and night too ☺ use a cotton bud, or q tip? I think you call them in America? And make sure you don't double wipe, at risk of further infection. Good luck. It's a beautiful piercing ❤

Try to buy a sterile solution at your local drug store. All it should contain is distilled (or purified) water and .9% sodium chloride (or salt). And if you for some reason can't afford that: boil some water (about 8 oz or 1 cup) and then add NO MORE AND NO LESS than 1/4 teaspoon of non iodized fine grain sea salt. (Iodized sea salt will hurt like a bitch)

As well: IT DOESNT LOOK INFECTED. It looks irritated. Hydrogen peroxide and alcohol should be your last resort and for an older piercing if you're EVER going to do it. Remember to clean your piercing more often, and bumps on cartilage are normal and most of the time from irritation.
