check your babies!

Moms!!! When your babies are born check their  upper lip and under their tongue! If they are having trouble latching they may be lip tied or tongue tied! My daughter who is now 16 months old just had to have a laser procedure today because she was lip tied and I didn't know until she was about 1 year old. Her pediatrician never caught it and I obviously I am not a Dr. And was a 1st time mom so I didn't know. I wish I knew sooner so she could have had the procedure at a younger age and it could have been less traumatic for both her and I. When I have my 2nd little girl this September one of the first things I will look for is if she is lip/tongue tied.
