Keratin Smoothing Treatment

Rubianna
I will be 3 months on the 26 and just bought an ion keratin smoothing treatment kit and would like to use it... The box says (no formaldehyde added, no thioglycolate or sodium hydroxide) and i cant find anywhere on this box state if it is ok to use while pregnant or not any advise... Please thanks

I wouldn't recommend it, as a hairstylist myself. They all produce formaldehyde no matter what they say. Use it at your own risk. For me, I didn't even offer the service while still working and pregnant.

Yes, agreed. I stopped all keratin treatments as well. The companies actually suggest that now, well some.

NO. Many of the professional products said no formaldehyde and Brazilian blowout went through a lawsuit for having it. It's not safe in my opinion, and that's as a stylist. Do not risk it. Just because it says it's safe doesn't mean it is.
