Help!!! Have anyone conceive using the birth control method?

So last month my Dr started me on birth control to help regulate and stop the painful cycles and also said it would help me get pregnant after a few months on them, then stopping them. She knows that me and my husband have been ttc so she have been trying to get me to try the birth control for about a year now but I had such a bad experience with them I refused.

Well, now since the crazy and painful cycles I decided ok I'll try it. It honestly have help with the pain last month so I think it's working for that but I haven't heard of anyone getting on birth control for a few months then stopping it and that's what helped them conceive.

She advised me to take ONLY 3 weeks worth of pills and the last week when my cycle should come on to not take the week just jump right into the next month pill pack. Ima kinda not sure why i am to do that part but i called to make sure and she said yes ONLY take them that way until my the end of my 3rd pack. (Im still unsure as to why.) (Anybody wanna who have did that help)

I have been trying to Google but all I find is ppl that were on the pill regularly and forgot to take a pill or to and ended up pregnant. Someone please help me!!! Have any of you tried birth control for a few months then stopped and actually conceived? And if so do you think that is wat helped you or were you doing something else? Help!!!!
