When to start bathing every night?

My baby is five and a half weeks old and we're still bathing her every 2-3 nights. Just wondering if I should be bathing her nightly yet or when I should start?

Technically adults shouldn't even bathe every day. The reason you only bathe your baby 2-3 times a week is because their skin is super sensitive. Bathing more often than that will dry out your baby's skin.

When she's mobile and stars getting into things. We only bathe our child twice a week but will wipe her down most days; face, neck, hands and diaper area.

My almost 18 month old only gets baths every 2-3 days unless she's really dirty from playing outside or finger painting ect. My 2 month old gets baths every 3 days.

We bathe 2 to 3x a wee and of course wiping down his face, hands and neck as needed. Babies at this age don't get dirty enough to need a bath everyday  and it is not good for their skin, it is so sensitive and can easily dry out and rashes can develop. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends bathing a couple times a week. If you want to establish a bedtime routine you could try infant massage instead of a bath.

Every second night we do bath, bottle and bed. Bath is usually around 8pm when I get home from work. My little one definitely sleeps for longer stretches (9pm - 4am) on bath night

My niece is 3.5 and still doesn't take a bath every night. Especially when they are babies, it dries out their skin. Hope this helps!

My 6 week old loves the water. I don't use suds every time but around 5oclock ish when I can feel us hitting a wall I'll put him in his bath tub, almost like a little activity.

At 5 weeks we started bathing her every night just to start a routine. We only use soap 2X a week. You aren't really supposed to bathe them as much as we do... but the routine has been working out amazingly... so it's worth it. Almost 7 weeks meow.

I did it at 1werk to establish a bedtime routine. I just rub her down with lavender lotion so she doesn't have dry skin. She's 7 weeks and sleeps like a champ 9 hrs then 4hrs a bedtime routine is crucial

I started when my baby girl was two weeks old! She's now in a great routine and sleep all night! She's 8 weeks old now! 😃
