braces??

have anyone gotten braces in the middle of the preg or while preg? i want em sooooo bad i actually planned on getting em right befor i found i was preg i wanna know if it's possible?? cause i hear u cant idk! help!

Go to the dentist and talk to him/her and your OB as well. A dentist visit while pregnant is a must as having bad teeth(hygiene) can sometimes cause complications during pregnancy.

I think worth holding off because the pain from mine made it hard for me to eat much for a couple of weeks and after they were adjusted.

I don't think they can put them on while pregnant. You need X-rays before then can ever begin starting to plan out what they need to place and where. Also going to the dentist just for a cleanup was so painful for me. I was warned going to the dentist is worse when pregnant but didn't think too much about it. Mouth still hurts so bad 3 days later :/

Depends on your dentist and the stuff they need to do when they fit them! When I went to the dentist he said I might need a proper filling but can't do the X-rays till the baby is here so he just patched me up temporarily x

I got my braces before i got pregnant and i have it during pregnancy. I wouldnt recommend getting one in the middle of pregnancy tho..it's hard enough to eat with all the nausea and vomiting lol cant imagine the pain of chewing food with braces..not to mention if u get irritated gum since its harder to clean teeth and dental appointment every month..u need panoramic and cephalometric xray before the procedure not recommended while pregnant. 😫

I did I was 5 months the only thing the orthodontist can't do is X-rays that's about it

Um, to everyone saying you can't get X-rays while pregnant - that's completely wrong . No one single diagnostic X-ray (especially dental) exposes you or your baby to enough radiation to cause damage and they properly drape you with a lead apron or collar to avoid scattered
