When can I have sex?

I had a D and E a week ago.  I was wondering how long do I have to wait to have sex again?  It looks like the bleeding will be done by tomorrow.

I am sorry for you loss but know that  you are not alone. Only a person who has been through this can truely understand what pain and hurt a mother can have. I was told not to have sex for 4 weeks as i might get an infection. I miscarried naturally on Monday after being 6 weeks pregnant, i passed my little one in the evening. I was told not to have sex or put anything inside me for 4 weeks. If i noticed a smelly discharge, high fever or dizziness to go back as these were symptoms of infection. I was also told to wait at least one cycle to try again. I do sincerly wish you the best for the future!

I just had a D&C a month ago and they told me 2 weeks.

My doctor told me to wait until 7 days AFTER the bleeding stopped. And even in that time I   Had a check up before my 7 days were up to make sure all was well.

They want your cervix to be closed and no more bleeding. So I would make sure that the bleeding has been completely stopped before going for it.  We waited about 4 days once bleeding stopped and I ended up bleeding some after sex. Not terrible but needed a pad. But mine was natural mc. Sorry for your loss :(

I think I got told two weeks or maybe after first af I can't remember was back in 2012 tho I did just wait 3 days past the bleeding
