How many waterproof pads did you use?

I bought one and got another at a baby shower and I think I remember someone telling me that they used two in the crib. It was something like pad, sheet, pad, sheet?

Ive got one in the baby bed under the sheet, but no leaks yet in 5 months.

I have two. I think I saw someone post something like that but it was for the convenience of nighttime sheet changes, so you aren't stumbling in the dark and trying to find the extras with a crying baby in your arms.
