Tampons or pads? and why?

I've heard only non-virgins can use tampons but I'm not sure. I haven't used tampons yet so I wouldn't know but if it's easier and more comfortable I'm down to wear those instead.

I've always tried to use tampons, but never really have been able to use them due to my tilted uterus 😕 so pads it is 👌🏼

Why I chose pads: 
Although toxic shock syndrome is rare, I can't help but think about it. So I don't use tampons. With pads, I don't have to worry about forgetting to change it--though I don't forget to change them because it gets really gross when left on for too long, but at least I don't have to worry about toxic shock. My flow also gets ridiculously heavy. I hear girls who talk about having very heavy flow and super tampons but still need a pad or pantyliner. And so, instead of going through the trouble of wearing both, I just get super overnight pads, which are huge and work, for the most part. Either way, I'm gonna want to take 20 showers a day when I'm on my period lol
