I got high bp when I went into labor & had to get out on magnesium and they induced me with pitocin to speed up labor bc they were worried I'd start having seizures. Then my son got stuck bc my tailbone was in an awkward place from a car accident several years before. Well his head fixed the tailbone for me (was in pain for 2 months over that) & my bp went down with needs after 2 or 3 weeks. They thought my son would be born quiet & sleepy bc of the magnesium, but he was kicking & screaming & got a 9/10 for his 1 min APGAR score.

I lost a lot of blood after and had to be put on iron pills. I spent 3 days in the hospital and refused a blood transfusion which was stupid, next time I'll get one. I would of felt a lot better if I had gotten one. I was just scared at the time.

Two issues for me. After giving birth to my sonbmy placenta wouldn't come out after pushing or the nurse pressing on my belly or my midwife pulling the cord. After about half an hour it had to come out - so a dr had to come in and remove my placenta by hand 😥 Also I had a spinal fluid leak from the epidural and had to get a blood patch a few days later. Both complications are fairly uncommon though

I tore really badly and it took the doctor forever to stitch me up because there was so much blood and I couldn't stop bleeding. I also had PUPPS throughout my pregnancy but the itchiness didn't go away until 3 weeks postpartum.

Pph 2500mls shortly after birth. Lost consciousness and needed numerous transfusions. First 24 hours are a blur. Had to stay in hospital for about 3 days I think it was. That was labour #3.
