Maternity leave issues
So my insurance offers 10 weeks at 100% pay. My original due date per my LMP is May 27th. Due to the babies size they have said May 13th or sooner. Induction day is the 17th. I told my insurance that I want to stop working on 1st due to stress and possibly going into labor sooner. all the paperwork is in and I'm told to just call in the first missed day of work.
Now they have my claim on hold because they are going off original due date and they want me to keep working until I go into labor or the Dr says I physically cannot work. now I've missed half a week of work and I can't go back to work because it could throw the claim out. but if they deny it then I've missed all this time with occurrences or using all my own pto.
help? I stopped working due to being stressed. they need paperwork proving that apparently. any suggestions??
my homecare Dr said I could go to the ER everyday saying I'm stressed and concerned about the baby and after a few days the ins will see this and not want to pay the er anymore or be held liable if something bad does happen. is this a good idea?
