I don't think it's pink eye, it could be a viral infection in baby's eyes. I'd call and schedule an appointment with the pediatrician as soon as possible.

My son had that. It wad a plugged tear duct. I was told to use a warm washcloths let it sit for a bit to loosen it up and wipe it softly.  He would wake up like that everyday.  He finally outgrew it.

My daughter has that all the time. Boil some chamomile and when it got cold wash the eyes with a clean sterilized cotton( soak it) from pharmacy multiple times per day. You call the doc??

Thanks Everyone we went to the doctor today and it is pink eye plus double ear infection plus a fever so I have a sick little baby

The eye has to be pink for it to be pink eye.  If it's not pink it could just be cold in the eye which means a viral infection and meds won't affect it 😖 I would for sure see a doctor tho!

It might be pink eye. My son had something similar awhile ago and ended up being pink eye but his eyes were a little more pink.
