is it possible??

Is it still possible with the technology today to still overlook twins on an ultrasound? Hubby and I just listened to our bean with a Doppler and swear we found two different heartbeats. It went from 160 to 180 in like 10 seconds. We heard the first, and then it went faint and then we heard it the second time. And it kept shifting from one to the other. And we're pretty sure about the HR's becuz we timed them multiple times. I should also add that I am now 13w1d and have had 4 transvag u/s by this time. And don't go back until 15w5d on the 22nd. My last u/s I was 10w5d. Just wondering if anyone has been in this situation. Ty in advance!

I Thought the same when I was pregnant with my son I thought I found two different heart beats but it wasn't. Sometimes home Dopplers arnt super accurate with heart rate, I was not having twins just one biiig baby boy. I am currently pregnant with twins and found the heartbeat(s) really early but only found out on ultrasound it was twins at 8.5 weeks(fraternal). If you were pregnant with identical twins it would be harder to see but by 13 weeks it would be pretty noticible.

Lol glad to see that we aren't the only ones who have gone through pretty much the same situation. Maybe I'll request it, but I think since we were hoping for twins we are just looking for every reason for a surprise lol. Congrats on your twins!!

Sorry I see 10 w was your last I'd think it was pretty noticeable by then too, but you could always ask the tech to check for another at your next scan
