I wish I would have. I was so in the zone I would've liked photos to be able to relive my labour

None of the hospitals in my area allow photographs or videos of the actual birth-vaginal or csect. I don't know about birthing centers but before you make any decision (& possibly putting down deposits) make sure you clear it with wherever you are giving birth. :)

It will be expensive and it's for a reason. The photographer is living on call and willing to drop everything to get to your birth at any time of day. Plus the amount of time they'll spend with you while you're in labor. Add the time for editing and everything else it makes sense for it to cost a lot. If you're uncomfortable with the cost or the hospital doesn't allow it you can find a photographer that does a session called First 48.

If you'll be delivering in a facility or hospital realize they may not allow photography during labor and delivery

If you or a family memeber has a nice camera just have them photograph. Or you could purchase a nicer camera for cheap and have someone you know there strictly to photograph and obviously give any support
