Do you become a mother when you are pregnant or when you give birth?

I'm currently pregnant and today is mothers day for hispanics and I have a lot of my family saying happy Mother's Day and I wondered... when does one become a mother? When you're pregnant or when your baby is born ? What do you ladies think

When you are carrying a life inside of you. Although not physically holding him or her they depend on you. You are mama ❣

You are not a mom yet, but when you are pregnant you are considered a mom to be, so that's why they saying Happy Mother's Day

I feel like a mother already, I am absolutely in love with this little one! But I am not expecting any celebration for mothers day until after he is born.

I think it's perfectly acceptable to celebrate Mother's Day when your pregnant. I found out on Mother's Day that I was pregnant with my first. Happened to be on vacation with my mom and MIL, it was a perfect gift for them and me 😊
