So I'm 16 and sexually active yes... but that's actually not why I want birth control. I want birth control because I have TERRIBLE period cramps (like crying and unable to stand cramps) and although Advil helps, I've heard BC is also very helpful and can also help protect against some types of cancers. However my mom thinks BC is just giving teens an excuse to go have sex, so she won't get it for me because she doesn't want me having sex anymore (she knows I had it with my boyfriend)... which I think is a little silly. Like wouldn't you want your teen to not get pregnant?
