You you wash yourself before sex?

So I see in movies and shows all the time where a girl will be out all night dancing or something all sweaty and ripping off her clothes and having sex. Am I the only one who washes either with a wipe or even a washcloth anytime I think I might be having sex? I feel like my vag smells like 2-3 hours after showering. Not the discharge just like the entire thing..? Am I alone or just very insecure and guys don't care? Like spontaneous sex I would never let happen if I am not just showered..
