Confused and wanting more

I've been seeing this guy and I don't really know what we are. We were together for a few months and then he kinda disappeared and then we started talking agian. He mad the first move and I let him. We went on a few dates when we were seeing each other the first time but now anytime I bring it up and tell him I want to go out he just brushes it aside likes it's no big deal. He's never meet my friends and I want him to but he just brushes that aside too. We spend most of our time together in the bed room which is great but I want more. He's told me I'm not just a hook up but I don't believe him because we don't really do anything else. How do I get him to take me out and meet my friends? I don't care where we go or how much we spend he doesn't even have to buy I'm willing to. I just want to spend time other places besides the bedroom and he doesn't really seem like he wants to.
