This article appeared on my fb thread about a possibly lynching and how fb responded to it. Please read it over and respond to the poll. This is not specifically about racism, but about how Facebook responds to posts and issues concerning racism and violence. Thank you.

You have to understand the magnitude of the Facebook infrastructure. They have over a billion users. Millions of posts per minute. Its literally impossible to police every single post right away. Its not FBs fault; its the people using social media to do this shit.

I've reported extremely degrading shit and death threats, yet I get a "this doesn't violate the community guidelines ☺️" response. It's the WORST.

Absolutely not. Facebook is disgusting. I've reported horrible videos that just popped up without warning and they got back to me with 'it doesn't violate their guidelines' bs. They should be ashamed of the crap they allow to circulate in there.

I hate Facebook 😡 they always remove the dumbest shit, and when it comes to blatant racism, sexism, or ableism, they don't see the problem. And the trolls (and the idiots that believe them) are running rampant. Turning into another trash social media network.

It's more the users than the company. There's FBI headquarters world wide policing billions of post per minute. The reason the "flag" option is there is to alert the people in charge. The more flags the more it gets put to the top of the list.

By making it go viral it's taken as a "trending topic" so it's technically more positive for them to keep it up on their end it looks like people liked said topic and the people flagging it are "haters". Which is why people say don't let shit go viral flag it don't spread it

Wow, that video sounds horrible. I think Facebook probably does as good of a job as they can considering there are over a billion people on Facebook.
