When is it the right time to talk to your pregnant, or just given birth SO about weight loss?

My husband tried to talk to me about losing weight together after the baby, not in a disrespectful way but I just felt there was a right and wrong time to talk about weight with someone pregnant or who just gave birth.

Pregnant or not unless they are gaining weight to the point that it is effecting their health, or they actually ask you for an opinion, there is no reason for you to bring up weight loss to someone like that

I would be excited for my husband to bring up doing it with me. It's something I'm already thinking about and I'm 37+2. I've gained 24 pounds and want to try to get back in shape as quickly and safely as possible. If my husband wanted to contribute to my journey to help me, I would be overjoyed.

I think it's disrespectful to bring it up when the woman is still pregnant and definitely relatively soon after birth. I said never. Idk I just couldn't fathom telling my significant other that he should lose weight unless it was severely impacting his health. If not never, then at least a year after birth.

I don't see an issue with it if he wants to do it with u. There are ways to ask but after 6 months I think it's time to at least workout 30min a day.

If 6+mos or so after, he recommended us BOTH working out together, I wouldn't mind. If he just told me to drop some weight, anytime..i'd be pretty hurt

Mine would never say anything because he wouldn't mind my weight !! However I wish he would I wish he was egging me on to loose weight because my motorvation is terrible and I love being the fittest version of my self!!!! I love my body and mind so much more!! ❤️
