Today Sponge - messed up my entire night
My husband and I have been trying to find a birth control that works for us for a long time now: all sorts of condoms, hormonal for me, IUD (twice, both times it wouldn't stay in place), etc etc.
Anyway, yesterday I bought a three pack of the Today Sponge, a little spongy circle filled with spermicide that acts as a barrier as well.
Seems great! Pretty simple to put in, couldn't feel it, made sure I could feel the ribbon to get it out later and all that.
Husband couldn't feel it and all seemed well until I tried to get it out!! Somehow it flipped over and the ribbon to pull it out was now completely out of reach.
To make matters worse, it's a sponge material and the spermicide makes it slippery... and if you aren't careful you can rip it, leaving pieces behind.
My sweet husband even tried to get it, but nope. We ended up at the ER, spending hours and a couple hundred dollars for what ended up taking 30 seconds for a PA to get out.
I wonder if other ladies have better luck with that!!!! Dang, this was a terrible night, but I'm sure I'll look back and laugh.
