How long does your baby sleep at night?

My little man is up every two hours. He is EBF, and is hungry throughout the night. We have tried formula at night to fill him up, but have had zero success in getting him to sleep longer stretches. We have also transitioned him to his crib, and we think he hates it. Once he is up it takes forever to get him back down.

Any tips / tricks / ideas are much appreciated. 😭 We think at 4 months it is still to early to have him cry-it-out...

Are you using a swaddle or transition sleeper?

We use the Merlin magic sleep suit and LOVE it. Whenever he starts to fuss at night, it calms him right down! He usually sleeps from 8 or 9 til 4 am, eats on one side and then back to sleep til 6-7 am.

Ugh. My son used to sleep 7-9 hour stretches and now it's like a 3-4 hour stretch and then on and off the rest of the night. It's horrible. Hopefully he goes back to the longer stretches soon!

It's heavy, I guess to prevent the startle reflex? But he can still put his hands to mouth. It was $40, so pricey, but ours has slept in it nightly and loooves it

4 months they go through a difficult leap which normally causes them issues with sleeping. Even a baby that has been an amazing sleeper can have troubles. It should settle down afterwards. Is it always hunger? Have you tried a soother, my son will wake up and sometimes just soothe himself back to sleep if he spits it out then I know he needs an actual feed.

I nurse him around 8-830pm and he's asleep by 9pm and will wake up around 5am or so to nurse again. He'll go back to sleep for about 2-2.5hrs and wake for "breakfast" and hang out for a while, then go down for his morning nap. He'll do that same routine, with more awake time in the afternoon, and last nap usually around 5-6pm. I've always nursed "on demand", and still do, times vary day to day but only by half an hour to an hour. Every blue moon he'll wake at 11pm or 3am to nurse, he'll eat and go right back to sleep.

My babe sleeps one 5 hour stretch and then wakes about every 2-3 hours after that. He sleeps in our room so when he first starts stirring I get him up and feed him while he's still sleeping and he usually goes back down really easily.  
I see a lot of great swaddle suggestions, but I've also heard good things about the zipadee-zip.
Also I put him down around 7-8 and then get him up (but don't wake him up) to feed him when I go to bed, so his longest stretch of sleep starts when I go to bed.

My son is formula fed, he takes 8oz throughout the day and up to 13 before bed and he sleeps for 8-12 hours from 3 months. I know these dAys seem hard but your wee one will sleep longer soon! Especially when they start solids! That is a god send apparently!

Wow. Hope you get through it soon! We EP and my daughter has started sleeping 10 hours or so through the night although I've kinda messed that up a little.
She usually drinks 4-4.5oz every 2-2.5 hours during the day but the first and last bottles are always 5oz.
She naps in her bouncy chair during the day (a habit that I plan on breaking next month) and lately I've been dropping the ball on figuring out when she's actually ready for bed. So instead of going to bed at 8ish, she'll nap from like 7:30-1am after a normal 4-4.5oz bottle and I'll nap on the couch next to her for a few hours. I think if I got back on track she'd go back to sleeping through the night but it just feels weird to me to put her in bed when it's still light outside. Guess I'll have to get used to it though since it doesn't get dark until like 9 during the summer 😕

My son is EBF. He will be 4 mths on the 24th. I give him a bath around 830. I nurse him before his bath. After his beth I give him his pacifier and rock him to sleep. He sleeps with me (Dad works 3rd so we have the whole bed to ourselves 😁).  My LO will sleep from say 9pm to anywhere between 12-2. I feed him and change him if needed and he goes right back to sleep. From then on it's every 2 hours. I'm a WAHM. His naps during the day are when I'm working so he's in the ergo. I sometimes can lay him down for naps while I work. If I do, he doesn't sleep long.

Normally my babies last feed is at 9ish and then he doesn't wake up again until 5am, he only ever wakes up before that if on his last feed he had less ounces than normal
