any brand recommendations??

My son is about to turn 4 months old.. and our pedi asked us to add baby cereal to his diet as he is not increasing his formula amount which is 3 oz every 2 hours in a day.. He was very colicky and gassy so we used the similac sensitive.. Now we are not sure which cereal should we start with..
Any suggestions?

Whatever you choose try to pick a whole grain.  We are told to avoid refined carbohydrates and eat whole wheat instead but often give babies the refined white rice cereal.  They have whole grain cereal, oatmeal, barely cereal, quinoa cereal, whole grain rice cereal.

Similac sensitive made my son far worse with colick. Sma suited him but what will work for one may not for another. My son couldnt tolerate cow n gate or aptimal. You can have weaning foods prescribed if proven needed so maybe ask your dr. Maybe try ellas kitchen i found the banana rice was fine for my son. Im weaning him early due to peadiatrician advised to avoid stomach surgery. Hes suiting it fine. Maybe mashed up veggies and fruits would be fine too
