Big baby at 36 weeks?

Question

I went for my final growth scan yesterday- turns out baby is growing fine besides his tummy that is apparently off the scale..  He is weighing in at 8 pounds at 36 weeks already! So they may induce me soon. 
I was tested for Gestational Diabetes but it came back negative and I've been eating healthily.. my husband is quite a monster though.. very tall and broad.. and was a big baby when born.

I read that later scans may not be that reliable.. thoughts anyone to calm my nerves?!

Pls don't believe the ultrasounds or feel the need to be pressured into a csection, unless that's something you want..

They were off by 2lbs with my first, and at least 1.5 if not more for all of my sisters. There is no way to measure baby accurately, just know your body is growing a baby that you will be able to birth!!

My sisters baby was measuring 6lbs via altar sound and was born 4lbs.. my second was measuring 4lbs and was born a week later 7.6lbs

We are in the same bought I am 35 weeks today and I went for a scan at 31w6d and he was weighing in at 6 pounds 4 ounces and now i go for another scan june 1st and I'm afraid of how much he weighs now so they are monitoring me to see if I will either need c section or to be induced oh lord! I'm kinda scared for this one my son is one big boy!

My fungal height was measuring 2 weeks ahead with my first so my ob sent me for a growth scan,  here you don't get ultrasounds after 20 weeks unless they think somethings wrong or your measuring big. But at my ultrasound they said he seems to be measuring normal that he just has a big head, I didn't like hearing that! Lol. My son was born at 41 weeks and I was shocked when I heard how big he was! He was 10 lbs 7oz and just under 24 inches long, I'm only 5'3". I didn't have gestational diabetes. This time at my 20 week anatomy scan my baby boy was measuring big again, he was in the 96th percentile. And my midwife said at my last appointment (I was 34 weeks) that my fungal height has being measuring big again and that he baby feels big. They don't induce becuase of size but they will give me lots of stretch and sweeps to try bring labour early.

Try not to stress out even if you do end up with a big baby my labour wasn't too bad and I only pushed for an hour and a half and be was sunny side up so that made it a little harder. I did need to get an episiotomy but that wasn't too bad and I didn't know about that until after I had my son and it healed up just fine. My son was in the nicu for 2 days but that was because he was overdue and passed meconium before he was born.

Here's a picture of my son when he was 3 days old and him in the nicu (they put a feeding tube in becuase his breathing was really wet so they flushed it out, he never needed it for feeding)
