Dr says NO caffeine even decaf during 1st trimester. I don't think I can go without any. Do you drink any caf?

I read a new study on this recently. It was saying no caffeine at all for pregnant women. Did your doctor cite this new research?

I tried not to have any, but it was giving me major migraines! My dr said 2 cups a day were ok, but nothing more. He told me diet coke was better than regular.
I drank diet coke the whole time I was pregnant with my first and he is perfect! He's 2 and is actually on a 3 year olds level, so who knows! Lol

Honestly a lot of people do and it's fine but I feel it's more important to listen to your doctor right now, if he's adamant you don't then listen. It's only a few weeks and the best option for baby so..

The limit is 2 instants per day. I only felt like one in the morning anyway- and that's huge for me, I usually have 5-6 per day not pregnant.

My dr also said no caffeine. I still eat chocolate (because, hello!) but went cold turkey on coffee/dr pepper the day I found out I was pregnant 5 months ago! Still alive here! :)

My specialist told me 200mg/day is the recommendation but she personally recommends NONE in the first trimester. I'm 28 weeks now and have maybe one soda or coffee a day and so far everything is good but I tried not to have any caffeine in the first trimester just to be on the safe side.

I had one glass of soda since I found out. I don't drink coffee so no caffeine hasn't been that hard for me.
