Sleepig through the night!

My baby wakes up in the middle of the night screaming and won't go back to sleep until he's rocked. Then will wake up and scream 1 hrs later. We have resorted to having him sleep in our bed for the 2nd or 3rd time he wakes up. How do I get him to sleep in his crib through the night?
