when do they start checking the cervix?

I'm 36w2d and I have an appointment today. Do you think they will start checking my cervix to see if I'm dilated?

Ladys of you just want to know you can request it to see if there is any change most drs will do it without a question but i can tell u once you know theres no turning back and it will  u nuts lol im going on 37 weeks and im forever being checked to make sure theres no change if i had a choice i wouldnt have them check me closer to 38/39 weeks

You can request that they do. They didn't at mine because I wasn't feeling contractions but at 35 weeks they checked. I have an appointment today at 37 weeks 5 days and I hope she does 🤞🏽.

My Dr starts cervical checks at the 36 week appointment. I was checked last Wednesday at 36+3 and was 1cm and 70% effaced. Can't wait to see if I've progressed at my appointment thursday

Mine was first checked at 35 and again yesterday at 37. I think it depends on the dr.

My dr checked me yesterday at 34+4, only because I have been having a lot of pressure and lost most of my mucus plug. I'm about 80% effaced and 1 cm dilated already. Plus my baby is so low the dr could feel her head pushing down into my pelvis.

My doctor and 2 other obs offered at 36 weeks and on but i declined bc it doesn't really indicate anything as to when labor will start and they all laughed and agreed.  Not to mention getting a csection so it doesn't really mean much for me

I'm 37 weeks and have an appointment today and they will be checking. Originally it was supposed to be at my 36 week appointment but for whatever reason, she's like oh well we will do that next time (after they told me for like 2 months it would be 36 weeks). I am impatient and it made me anxious having to wait another week!
