is living 30 minutes away from grandparents to far?

My husband and I are looking into moving into another state where it would leave us 30 minutes away from the grandparents. Grandparents are in their 50's and able to drive and work. Other wise I wouldn't move out of state. But we're considering another state due to income state taxes are half there, and property taxes are less than national average there as well. So all in all it be cheaper for us to live in the other state. Is 30 minutes to far of a drive to come see a grandbaby?
